As part of the university waste management competition, and under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Tarek Ali—Acting President of Beni-Suef University—and in line with the university's commitment to supporting student innovation and promoting concepts of sustainability and environmental preservation...

This took place under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hamada Mohamed, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Abu Al-Hassan Abdel-Mawgoud, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mervat Refaat, Dean of the Faculty of Technology and Education.

In a new achievement adding to the track record of excellence at the Faculty of Technology and Education, Beni-Suef University, the "Tech BNS" team has qualified to represent the university in the subsequent stages of the university waste management competition. This follows the conclusion of the competition's internal qualifiers, which saw the participation of 11 teams from various faculties across the university.

The Tech BNS team qualified as one of only three teams selected to represent Beni Suef University in the regional qualifiers, advancing to the national finals.

The team is presenting a project aimed at sorting university waste—specifically paper, plastic containers, and aluminum cans—and recycling it into usable products. This initiative contributes to reducing waste volume, maximizing resource utilization, and creating added value, thereby supporting the concepts of the circular economy and sustainability.

This achievement was realized under the supervision of Dr. Mohamed El-Sayed Abdel-Barr El-Zaleek—Assistant Professor of Power Technology and Electrical Machines in the Process Control Technology Department and Coordinator of Special and Distinctive Programs at the Faculty—who guided the students and supported their efforts in preparing the project and developing its concept.
