The fifth activity of the Egyptian Crafters Initiative

Within the framework of implementing the "Egyptian Crafters" initiative, within the initiative of His Excellency the President of the Republic for comprehensive development, "Bedaya A New Beginning for Human Development", and consolidating the concept of entrepreneurship, transforming an idea into a product, and then into a small project. Under the patronage of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan - President of the University, Prof. Dr. Atef Fadl, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Ahmed El-Sayed, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, the Faculty of Technology and Education - Beni Suef University - implemented on Monday 02-24-2025, in cooperation with Beni Suef Decoration Secondary School for Boys, the fifth activity of the "Egyptian Crafters" initiative in the workshops and laboratories of the Textile Technology Department at the Faculty, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hemat El-Fayoumi, Assistant Professor at the Textile Technology Department - Director of the Center for Linking Research to Industry at the University, and Dr. Bahaa Saleh, Lecturer at the Textile Technology Department at the Faculty.
It's worth noting that a variety of fabrics, colors, and designs were provided at the Ready-Made Garment Production Technology Workshop, sponsored by Prof. Dr. Hemat El-Fayoumi, to give students the opportunity to express themselves and encourage them to add their own creative and innovative touches through pattern design and tailoring technology training. Students demonstrated great enthusiasm and positive interaction during the workshop.
For his part, Dr. Bahaa Saleh accompanied the trainees to the weaving and knitting workshops, where he provided them with a simplified explanation and training on operating the loom and circular knitting machines. The day concluded with a visit to the dyeing and printing workshop, where the trainees were introduced to the various types of dyeing machines, including exhaust and immersion dyeing machines, in addition to printing machines. This practical training contributes to enhancing students' skills and linking theoretical knowledge with practical application, better qualifying them for the job market in the textile industry.
At the conclusion of the activity, students from Beni Suef Decoration Secondary School for Boys expressed their sincere thanks and appreciation to the Faculty of Technology and Education at Beni Suef University for providing them with this valuable opportunity. They emphasized the importance of its continuity, which plays a significant role in developing their skills.
In conclusion, the College Administration extends its sincere thanks and appreciation to Mr. Engineer/ General Director of Technical Education in Beni Suef, Mr. Engineer/ Ashraf Wadih - Director of Beni Suef Decoration Secondary School for Boys, for their fruitful cooperation in making this initiative success.
