Today - Wednesday, May 17, 2023 - the Department of Production Technology - Faculty of Technology and Education - Beni Suef University - organized a scientific visit to the Egyptian Paper Factory in the industrial zone in Bayad al-Arab - for students of the fourth year in the department, accompanied by Dr. Samah Abdel Rahman, Dr. Ahmed Alsyed
The paper industry is currently one of the important industries in Egypt - as it is an industry based on recycling the waste of cardboard factories and all other paper waste - which helps to get rid of the waste and maximize its utilization
During this visit, the students got acquainted with all the details of the production line, accompanied by Engineer Ahmed Hassan - Factory Director and Production Manager - who explained in detail the stages of paper manufacturing, starting from the stage of preparing and kneading the raw material, then purifying it and transporting it on several conveyor belts, during which it is disposed From water and moisture, a final product comes out in the form of a large roll of paper of the required sizes according to the manufacturing specifications of each factory. The students also got acquainted with some of the tests that are carried out on paper after it is manufactured, to ensure that it conforms to the required specifications according to the type of product required, through Eng. Mostafa Magdy - Quality Manager at the factory.
