Under the auspices of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan - President of the University, His Excellency Prof. Dr. Sameh El Maraghi - Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Hassanein - Dean of the College, and Prof. Dr. Mervat Refaat - Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development and Prof. Dr. Atef Fadl - Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs Today - Thursday at 1/6/2023 - Industrial Electronics and Control Technology Program - Faculty of Technology and Education - Beni Suef University - Organized a scientific visit to the grain storage silo in the industrial zone in Kom Abu Radi of the Egyptian Holding Company for Silos and Storage - Central - Beni Suef - for students of the first year the second in the technological program, under the supervision of Dr. Mohamed El-Sayed Abdel-Bar, a teacher in the Department of Process Control Technology, and Dr. Taha Anany, faculty member delegated to teach at the Faculty of Technology and Education from the Egyptian Holding Company for Silos and Storage
The visit aims to link the practical and theoretical side that was taught in the subject of developing rationing skills for the first year, and the subjects of industrial control elements, traditional control, and electrical installations for the second year, with practical application in industry, where industrial control systems for grain filling lines were identified, and industrial control elements, PLC units, and methods were identified. Controlling the speed of electric motors, conveyor belts, and pneumatic control systems for opening and closing valves
During this visit, the students got acquainted with all the details and components of the silo unit, starting from the entry of wheat into the silo, passing through the purification processes and the sensors used to control the speed and measurement of the belts and control the temperature and humidity inside the silo, accompanied by Eng. Ashraf Abd al-Muttalib, director of Kom Abu Rady silo, and Dr. Taha Anani, Director of Electrical Maintenance and Silo Control - where they explained in detail the stages of grain storage
